Shrewsbury Little League held its first “Movie at the Ballpark” event on Thursday, September 1st. A large screen was set up in front of the backstop at the main baseball field in Dean Park. Families spread out on blankets and lawn chairs in the infield to watch “The Perfect Game”. The movie was made in 2009 and is based on the events surrounding the 1957 Little League World Series.
The League would like to thank a few people/organizations that made the night possible:
LevelUp Automation and owner Jen Mallett for donating her time and equipment to the event.
Regal Cinemas Solomon Pond for the popcorn donation.
Kelly Warren for organizing donations and the snack shack and Andrea Finnegan for volunteering at the snack shack.
The Town of Shrewbury and Angela Snell in the Parks and Recreation Department who have been such great supporters. of Shrewsbury Little League.
The event was a great success and the League hopes to be able to do this again next year with the community’s support!
